RECONNECT TO THE WISDOM OF YOUR BODY & HEART

WITH HORSES

Heartwell blends equine-guided wellness with nature-based practices to help you reconnect with your heart. Our trauma-informed approach supports nervous system regulation, strengthens emotional intelligence, and creates a nurturing space for healing, growth, and deeper well-being.

Welcome to Heartwell

Nestled in the heart of the Comox Valley on Vancouver Island, Heartwell is a space where healing unfolds in partnership with nature, horses, and the wisdom of your own body.

I’m Chantal Russell, and this work is a reflection of my deep passion for holistic well-being. Through equine-guided practices, somatic awareness, and nervous system repatterning, I support those seeking a more embodied, heart-centered way of living.

At Heartwell, healing is a shared experience. Our horses are not tools or therapists; they are valued partners in this work. Their well-being is at the core of all we do, creating a space where healing flows in both directions—a shared exchange of care, respect, and connection.

Whether you join me on our farm or through online somatic wellness coaching, this is an invitation to slow down, listen deeply, and reconnect with your most authentic self.

Come home to yourself at Heartwell.

What is Equine-Guided Wellness?

Equine-guided wellness is a transformative approach to healing and personal growth that harnesses the intuitive wisdom of horses. Horses, as sensitive and sentient beings, naturally respond to our emotions and energy, creating powerful opportunities for self-awareness, connection, and empowerment. In a trauma-informed and supportive space, this practice provides a safe and empowering environment to explore the wisdom of your inner world.

The Heartwell Philosophy

Heartwell is a return.

A return to the wisdom of the body.

A return to the rhythm of nature.

A return to the wisdom of the heart.

In a world that moves quickly and often asks us to override our own needs, Heartwell offers a different path, one rooted in presence, relationship, and aliveness.

At its core, Heartwell is based on a simple remembering:

You are not a problem to be fixed.

You are a whole being, worthy of care, curiosity, and celebration.

When you listen to the rhythms of your body, the rhythms of the earth, and the wisdom of horses, wellbeing becomes a natural way of life, a remembering of what you already know.

  • Understand and process emotions with clarity and compassion.

  • Learn to regulate your nervous system and increase vitality.

  • Strengthen your boundaries and build healthier relationships.

  • Cultivate self-awareness, trust, and emotional resilience.

  • Reconnect with yourself, others, and the natural world.

How This Work Can Support You

What Awaits You

  • Horses create a space where it feels safe to release stress, process trauma, and rediscover your inner strength.

  • Reconnect with your authentic self, while experiencing the profound bond between horses and humans.

  • Gain practical tools and insights to navigate challenges with greater confidence and ease.

  • Leave with a renewed sense of peace, purpose, and connection to the world around you.

A Different Way of Being

This work is not about striving or self-improvement.

It is about slowing down enough to hear what is already true.

It is about learning to follow your own inner guidance, honouring the yes, and respecting the no.

It is about remembering that wellness is not something you achieve.

It is something you return to.
